Travel. Travel often, far away & lose yourself.
A few years ago, I sold everything I owned, left Toronto and bought a one-way ticket to Thailand with dreams of backpacking across the world.
I had no long term plan, expectations, or any idea where I'd end up...I only had a simple dream: to travel as far as I could, for as long as I could.
I started in South East Asia, living in hostels, villages, and sometimes on mountain tops with locals in tents.
My passion for finding consciousness, purpose, and bliss grew stronger with the passing of each glorious sunset.
Months passed, and all the little moments experienced this far shifted something within me, and I recognized that these collection of stories I have now lived through were beyond anything I could have ever imagined or fully planned myself.
I was blown away by the beautiful experiences, friends, and life lessons each place generously offered me. I am forever thankful.
I am not saying I have found all the answers to the complex questions that fuel my wild imagination, but perhaps I am now closer to understanding that it was all reflection of all that I was seeking, and undoubtedly: all that I was.
Life has an eerie way of teaching you exactly what you need to learn in order to flourish, heal and get you to exactly where you need to be. To live out the destiny that you were always meant to fulfill.
God is Great.
All the answers we seek are within us, and we are all connected in ways we can only imagine.
"We are one with the universe."
I am in awe of the brilliance of each of our journeys; our unique stories as individuals, and as collective nation of souls.
A hand full of exotic countries, one year down, and thirty cities later: here I am, surrendering to The Devine.
I've said this before and I'll say it again...
"Better yourself in all ways imaginable, for only in yourself will you only truly find what it is that you so desperately seek."
